BAM Monthly Roundup – September 2025

BAM Validator Client

After finalizing audit reviews from Ottersec, the BAM Client code has been open sourced. The BAM client is an update to the Jito-Solana client that enables validators to connect to BAM, while maintaining compatibility with the Jito Block Engine.

This marks a key milestone in BAM’s roadmap toward full transparency and commitment with decentralization and fully open source code.

BAM Nodes

BAM Nodes are now live in three high activity regions: Amsterdam, Frankfurt, and New York City.

Currently additional BAM Nodes are coming live in Dublin, London, Tokyo, Salt Lake City, and Singapore, furthering the goal of strong geographic decentralization and global performance coverage.

Mainnet Validators

After an initial Testnet phase with a small group of validators, early validators began onboarding to BAM Mainnet in the final week of September. These validators are helping test mainnet performance with smaller staked nodes ahead of broader rollout where larger stake is expected to come live.

BAM Code Audit

Asymmetric Research delivered a first security review of the BAM code. First issues are being addressed, with the objective to finalize security reviews and implement fixes before the end of Q4.

Performance

For early validators running BAM, increased transactions per block, priority fees, and tips have been observed compared to initial BAM versions. This trend is expected to continue as BAM node and client performance improve. Updates are deployed to internal BAM Nodes on a daily basis, with results closely monitored and successful improvements rolled out to other nodes once they yield noticeable gains.

Upcoming Milestones

Validator Client Bug Bounty

Bug bounty with Immunefi coming live second week of October, with bounties of up to $100K for critical vulnerabilities. Stay tuned to Jito and Immunefi’s channels for more information.

BAM Explorer

V1 of the BAM Explorer coming live. The BAM explorer will serve as the main source of truth for BAM Node performance, validator participation, and network-level metrics.

Firedancer Integration

Initial scoping and integration work underway. This integration will allow validators running Firedancer or Frankendancer clients to leverage BAM’s transaction scheduling capabilities without needing to switch to the BAM client.

Plugins: V0 ACE implementation

Design and development of the first ACE (Application Controlled Execution) Plugin in the form of a speedbump functionality. This would enable developers to customize which type of transactions may or may not be able to bypass the speedbump in their applications, enforcing a form of priority to enable specific use cases.
