BAM Monthly Roundup - October 2025

BAM Monthly Roundup – October 2025
Over 17M in SOL stake
One month after mainnet launch, BAM has attracted over 17 million SOL stake, representing approximately 4% of total network stake.
Current validators include Block Logic, Drift, Laine by SOL Strategies, Melea and SuperteamDE by Staking Facilities.
Engineering
This month brought several key updates across the BAM software stack, focused on improving speed, reliability, and cross-client compatibility.
Validator Client Performance
Work is underway on an upgraded BAM-Client scheduler, designed to resolve longer dependency chains and execute transaction batches significantly faster.
Initial testing shows 2.5x faster execution compared to the current scheduler, with ongoing optimizations expected to reach 4–5x improvements in upcoming releases.
BAM Node Performance
Performance improvements are underway in packet transmission and filtering logic to reduce redundant data and improve validator throughput.
Preliminary results show that filtering already-processed, stale blockhashes, and stale durable nonces increases scheduler performance relative to unfiltered operation, enabling faster block execution and reduced network overhead.
BARS (BAM Attestation Report Service)
The BAM Attestation Report Service (BARS) is now in an advanced development stage and undergoing initial security reviews by Asymmetric. BARS leverages BAM Nodes’ Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) to produce cryptographic attestations to:
- Ensure BAM Nodes are running the correct code, untampered
- Create verifiable proof of transaction that helps market participants verify if validators executed orders as instructed by the Node
A visual interface for BARS will be integrated into the BAM Explorer and will be made available in an upcoming release.
Firedancer Integration
Firedancer integration is underway, aiming for an early December release date. This integration will allow validators running Firedancer or Frankendancer clients to leverage BAM’s transaction scheduling capabilities without needing to switch to the BAM client.
Bug Bounty
Bug bounty launched with Immunefi with over $100K in bounties for high severity vulnerabilities. Security researchers are encouraged to participate and contribute to strengthening BAM’s infrastructure.
Governance
JIP-28: Accelerating BAM Adoption has been formally proposed on Jito’s Governance Forum.
This JIP introduces an incentive framework to encourage validator participation in BAM by directing a portion of JitoSOL stake toward BAM-enabled validators. The proposal aims to accelerate BAM adoption across the network and strengthen alignment between validator performance, stake incentives, and BAM’s growing infrastructure.
Upcoming Milestones
BAM Explorer
V1 of the BAM Explorer is almost ready and coming live in December. The BAM explorer will serve as the main source of truth for BAM Node performance, validator participation, and network-level metrics.
